We're partnering with a progressive boutique law firm that is entering an exciting period of growth. With offices across Brisbane, the Directors are looking for an experienced, commercially-minded Office Manager who wants to become a true business partner rather than simply keeping the office running.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors across all areas of the business, with the potential to progress into a General Manager position as the firm continues to grow.

The role

As the Office Manager, you'll become the operational heartbeat of the firm, ensuring everything runs efficiently while driving continuous improvement across the business.

You'll have involvement across:

Operations & Office Management

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the firm
  • Improving systems, processes and workflows
  • Coordinating facilities, IT providers and office suppliers
  • Supporting Directors with administration and business initiatives
  • Managing safe custody, precedents and internal documentation
  • Assisting with compliance and operational risk management

Projects & Business Growth

  • Leading operational improvement projects
  • Supporting the Directors with firm-wide initiatives
  • Developing policies, procedures and business frameworks
  • Helping build scalable systems as the firm grows

People & Culture

  • Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
  • Supporting employee engagement and HR administration
  • Maintaining staff records and compliance requirements
  • Assisting with training and professional development coordination

Marketing & Client Engagement

  • Coordinating marketing initiatives and client communications
  • Assisting with events, networking and business development activities
  • Maintaining website and social media content
  • Preparing submissions, capability statements and promotional material

About you

You'll be someone who naturally looks for better ways of doing things.

You enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and building strong relationships with people at every level of the business.

Ideally you'll bring:

  • Previous experience as an Office Manager, Administration Manager, Practice Manager or similar leadership role
  • Outstanding organisational and project management skills
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience within legal environments (highly regarded)
  • Experience with HR, recruitment or marketing functions (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with Actionstep and/or Xero would be beneficial
